DINNER 2011
We are pleased to announce that the Concerned Christian Men is hosting the Fifth Annual John E. Everett Awards Dinner on Saturday, June 25th at Apostolic Church of God, 6320 South Dorchester Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637. Our dinner speaker is Sid E. Taylor, CEO of SET Enterprises and Founder of Real Life 101 Scholarship Fund, and the Awards Dinner theme is “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2 KJV). At the dinner we will honor several of the young men in our program who have distinguished themselves through their outstanding performance during the 2010-11 school year.

Our young leaders-to-be should be saluted for choosing to transform rather than conform to their realities of Englewood and Gresham. These forty motivated achievers earned their way to our Fifth Annual Thompkins- Stimley Summer Camp at Camp Beechpoint in Allegan, MI. They participated in our innovative after school program, CCM In The Schools (CCMITS); were regulars at our monthly Man-Boy Breakfasts; signed on for Excursions -- our weekly jaunts to area museums, universities and sports events; earned orange belts in karate, wrote flash essays, gave speeches. And they renewed their minds!
